You're right that we could 'milk' the game more (as you said) and that it could make sense financially (and maybe be safer than trying to do a new game, which can always fail!), but that's just not what we want to do.

The last big feature that we thought would be a great addition was the effect sequencer from the Booms & Blooms DLC (plus the multiplayer from the free update after that, which didn't make sense as a DLC). plus there are hundreds of great scenarios on the Workshop).īut we said from the beginning that if we do DLC we want it to feel more like a proper expansion with a good variety of new features and content, not just something small like 'here's a couple of new items', and we want to stick to that.

Of course there's always the possibility of just adding *more stuff*, like more rides (although I think we got most theme park rides that are somewhat popular covered and a pretty good selection overall), or more scenarios (again, more might be better, but the campaign is pretty huge already. We put everything that we planned and much more into the game already, and there's no good ideas left that excite us or that we think would make a meaningful enough difference to be worth it. The other is that we feel like there's nothing meaningful left that we would like to add to the game. One is that, while we're super happy and proud of the game, we have been working on it for 7 years, which is a *very* long time to be working on a single game, so it's nice that after all these years of thinking about theme parks and Parkitect every single day we can finally think about something else (as fun as those things are and as much as we love them, it's just refreshing to have a change).
